This is a "mainstay" of Idaho Falls, known for it's good food. I say good, not great as there is some inconsistency in the food and service. Oddly enough, some of the restaurants in IF are better on weekends than during the week, even though they are busier. Patio outside is nice during the summer but the entire place needs TWO things: A dress code and a total remodel. It's pretty dated.
People come here with baseball caps and flip flops and muscle shirts and that really takes it down a notch. Come on guys, up your game.! Ditto for the women. If you are going to have a nice dinner, please dress the part. If you are going to a picnic, don't come here. Also, leave your babies at home, as this is an adult restaurant with a bar as well.

We ate on the outside patio and was so peaceful watching the river while we ate. Food was good, a little pricey for us but we are from the midwest and everything we ate on our
northwestern trip was pricey. We were given some food to feed the ducks while we ate and that was fun.

This is the perfect restaurant if you are staying near the Falls. Great menu, cocktails, beers and wines.

I come through Idaho Falls only 4 times per year, but I dine all four nights at the Sandpiper because of food, service, view and cocktails and wines.

This restaurant has a spectacular view of the river above the falls. Food and service are top notch. It seems to be busy every night, so reservations,,especially for the patio, are a must. Great wine list!

The food was so good that no I couldn't stop. I actually got orders to go to take back to the hotel. Yum.
